Early on-set colorectal cancer is becoming more and more common in people who are too young to qualify for a colonoscopy. This kind of cancer can be difficult to detect without the appropriate screenings, especially since this topic can be embarrassing to talk about for many young people. Central Illinois Endoscopy Center wants to provide you with the resources to stay healthy and feel supported so these important topics can be discussed openly. Check out this recent article from NBC News’ Erika Edwards, where she discusses common signs of colorectal cancer by reporting on the findings of a recent study from the Washington University School of Medicine. From this study, researchers were able to find four signs of early-onset colorectal cancer, signals that showed up to two years before a diagnosis in some cases.
