The ASGE Endoscopy Unit Recognition Program honors endoscopy units that follow the ASGE guidelines on privileging, quality assurance, endoscopy reprocessing and CDC infection control guidelines and have completed specialized training on principles in quality and safety in endoscopy.
Because our state-of-the-art center is an outpatient facility, we are able to keep the cost down for patients and insurers. We offer enhanced privacy for patients and their families, as well as a comfortable quiet setting. The average length of stay is less than two hours and Saturday morning hours are offered for your convenience.
We utilize an electronic notification system to let you know when your loved one is done with his or her procedure. These small hand-held devices are similar to those used by restaurants to let your know when your table is ready.
We are staffed by experienced physicians, nurses and a certified administrator who provide compassion while delivering high-quality health care services. We are located in Illinois Medical Center which offers the choice of free ground-level or covered parking. CIEC is on the same floor as Illinois Gastroenterology Institute, which all of our physicians are a part of. We hope you’ll take the time to review this website to learn more about CIEC.
